Scotland's Highlands and North Coast

Our next stop is Knockan Crag where they say the rocks are some of the oldest in Europe. We hope to do one of the short trails up the mountain but before we even get to the hexagonal visitor centre with its turfed roof, the rain started pouring down. We read some of the information boards, spotted a large black slug and admired some purple and yellow wild flowers then back to the van for coffee.
